At Weaver Plant Ltd health and safety is not just an obligation, it’s a way of life. Because when you’re working at heights, with heavy loads, or in dangerous environments, health and safety is more than just a tick box exercise, it’s a lifesaver.
Weaver Plant Ltd is dedicated to researching and refining its health and safety policies to incorporate best practice, procedures and processes from across the hire industry and from the many business sectors in which we work. We operate an open and transparent policy that allows us to learn from our mistakes without blame, so that we can improve our approach and avoid repetition.
THE SAFEST MACHINES
We are constantly striving to improve the safety of our fleet, investing in the most up to date machines available, incorporating the very latest technology, to help make your site, and your staff, as safe as possible.
Where safety technology, such as reversing cameras, is not fitted as standard on a machine, we will always try to offer it as an option to reduce risks on busy sites.
PRE-TESTING
All Weaver Plant Ltd plant and equipment is thoroughly tested to HSE standards before delivery, and relevant documentation is provided as proof. For example, all telehandlers come with Lifting Certificates to confirm that they have been examined and tested for safe operation. All of our machine testing is performed by an independent body.
SAFE DELIVERY AND COLLECTION
Weaver Plant Ltd delivery drivers are not only fully qualified to operate the delivery vehicle itself, but also any machines that they transport. This ensures that your equipment will be loaded and unloaded in the safest way possible, and that your own team will receive training from an established operator with first hand experience of the machine.
ON SITE TRAINING
All Weaver Plant Ltd, our delivery team will not leave the site until they are confident that your staff can operate the machines correctly and safely, and that they fully understand any safety devices and mechanisms incorporated into the design.
OUR OWN TRAINING SCHOOL
In the near future, Weaver Plant Ltd will be taking our training to the next level by opening our own dedicated training school. This will provide training for the pool of drivers across the UK, as well as anyone looking to join the industry, raising the bar for health and safety practice nationwide.
